These past few days have been “spider” crazy!

Rob and I went to see Spiderman 3 on Sunday night.

I really enjoyed it.  I am always fascinated by the imaginations and creative minds behind the scenes to pull off the final version we see in the theatre!  I am not a true “Spiderman” fan in the sense that I read the comics and really understand all the conversations and words that are directly related to the comic books (like my friend Spencer Cowen is) but I have to say I really like the Spiderman movies.   I really liked the new characters unveiled in this movie, but don’t want to go in to great detail for now, since it’s not been out long and you may not have seen the movie yet.  It’s worth seeing it on the big screen in my opinion.

on to other spider-ness….

How creepy is this story?  Doctor Finds Spiders in Boy’s Ear

Ew!  Sick it!  But I guess the boy could claim he has a “web” of knowledge in his head…okay, okay, I know not “punny” enough….I’ll try to thread some other elements into the story…hmmm, well, I guess this just shows you that spiders are just spinning out of control these days!  (Actually, for some strange reason this reminds me of the little Ayore kid in Bolivia who got corn kernals stuck up his nostrils and had to have my grandma come to the rescue by plunging up a bobby pin up his nose to stab the kernals and pull them back out….but that’s really not about spiders, so not for this post…does make you curious, though, huh?!   You’re welcome for the bonus funny story!)

Check out the spider story that happened to my good friend Mariana Wakefield:

AAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

Ah what a tangled web we weave….?

ew. That really did not help my arachnophobic self. Perhaps I shall start sleeping with ear muffs…

Is there a song in all of this?

The eensie weensie spiders climbed up the ear canal,

down came the doctor and washed the spider out,

out came the spiders from the dried up ear canal…

until the eensie weensie spiders crawled in the ear again …

Ew – now that’s just wrong!

  3. Totally creepy. I am completely arachnophobic, although I have had to overcome my fear since I became a Mom. I can’t very well tell my 8-year-old that he has to kill the evil, hairy spider that’s in the bathtub, can I? I did like Spiderman-3, too, though. 🙂
