Rob and I have been away for a few days to just chill.  It’s been very relaxing!  We’re boring vacationers – since life is extremely fast paced most of the time for us the recipe for relaxation goes like this:

  • 1 awesome spouse 
  • 1 or 2 good books
  • a selection of good movies OR a nearby movie theatre
  • lots of hand holding on walks
  • a smattering of good munchies
  • several laughter sessions
  • add a good dose of memories into conversations
  • limited cell phone use
  • extra amounts of sleep
  • 2 or 3 good meals out (Carrabas, On the Border, etc.)
  • comfortable hang out clothes
  • beautiful scenery
  • hospitality of wonderful friends
  • moments of complete silence – to taste

Mix all ingredients together over 2 -3 days.  When the kinks in your shoulders relax and the throbbing of headaches subside, you’re ready to re-engage in life.  🙂

Ahhh…..relaxation – it’s the best!

    So, it went well.

    LOVE the recipe! Our worst vacations were ones where we tried to see every touristy thing to see and came home with photos of really cool places we barely actually looked at!

    I am glad you are refreshed.

    We’re still in the go-like-crazy-people-on-vacations stage. However 3 days in a Pod was Like slowing down….except for the walks, we were going 75 down the highway – we did most of everything in the recipe!
