Belize Mission TripBelize Mission Trip

Robbin and Elise had the opportunity to go on a mission trip to Belize last year.  It was great to hear what God did through their group and the impact it made on their lives.  Here’s a couple of my favorite pics that they brought back to share.

Note:  If you’ve never taken a missions trip, you should!  You will come back humbled and changed!  My favorite description of someone describing how they returned from a mission’s trip to Africa was that they were “gloriously ruined!”   That captures it so well – you can’t have the same perspective anymore and appreciate your life with new perspective, but have a hard time with the juxtaposition of your life and the lives of those to whom you served and reflected God’s love.  It’s definitely worth it!

    Hi,
Loved your blog. We are missionaries and live in Belize. If you truly want to see God’s blessings in your lives, then hop on down to Belize. You will see your world through totally new eyes. The home you live in would look like a mansion compared to the homes in Belize. The ordinary things you take for granted appear like luxury once you have visited here.
Looks like you did indeed find the “jewels of Belize” – the young people. They, of course, are the future of Belize. So, folks can truly change the future of a nation – Belize – by ministering to the young folks.

Beautiful faces – both your girls and the children they ministered to.

I’m not much of a blogger but I’ve been on D2S today and happened onto your blog through a comment you made. I just want to let you know that God used you to encourage me. Isn’t it amazing how He even guides the clicks of the mouse to get us to see something He wants to show/tell us?

Anyway, two months from today I am leaving for a two week mission trip to the Xingu river area of Brazil, south of the Amazon. It’s my first mission trip. I’ve been through a variety of emotions, the entire spectrum, but God has been there with encouragement and confirmation throughout. Your encouragement to go on a trip was the little boost I needed today. I can’t wait to be changed by the experience! Thanks!

Beautiful pictures. I can’t wait to have my own to share.
