Thankful hearts for the many blessings God provides

Heaping plates of yummy food

Anticipation as to whether or not the turkey will get done on time

Naptime after you can’t eat any more.

Kids from all generations running everywhere

Smells of spices permeating the air

Goofy games and songs

Instant mashed potatoes are banned for sure

Victorious shouting when a touchdown is scored

Invited guests from near and far

Noisy conversation and laughter from every nook and cranny

Glad hearts headed home, better for having gathered together to soak in family and friends.

One day a year we gather together to celebrate our thankfulness. As fun as it is, wouldn’t it be great if we all lived every day out with this attitude? Thanks friend, for reminding me that we truly do have an abundance of blessings – especially here in America!
